Busy busy busy

I know I've been out of touch for the past week or so, and there are some folks who are wondering what has become of me (hi, Mom!). Well, I can pretty much sum up my life in one word.
OwlCon
Pre-registration opened in December, so I've been signing people up for games for about 6 weeks now. The system is partially automated, which makes this process possible at all (thanks to some hard work from our web guru), but there is still a lot of data input, file manipulation, and emailing back and forth with gamers/GMs/Coordinators trying to help people deal with their registration problems. From the registrant's point of view, the process is very easy (IMO); however, when dealing with large numbers of people, there are plenty of opportunities to screw up even the most robust of processes.
It's always busy, but every year we have increased our attendance by a significant amount, and this year we're pretty sure that we'll be breaking the 600 mark. This brings with it many more people who need assistance because of confusion, computer glitches, or errors on either their or our part. Let's just say I'm damned busy.
And, of course, there's work too. ;)
