You Were Right

Too much cinnamon in the coffee.  It was a good idea, but I'll have to work on the proportions a bit.

WE make about an 8 cup pot (of a dark roast Sumatran with cocoa nibs - mmmm). I didn't measure, but I suspect that I put in about 1.5 tsps. I suppose we like it less cinnamoned. :)

Yeah, 1.5 tbsp. for 8 cups worth of grounds would give you most definitely CINNAMON coffee, and not just cutting the bitter and turning the coffee mellow coffee. But, then again, it sounds yummy to me. :)

And thanks for the reminder that with all of the lattes I've been making for myself, I should keep some ground cinnamon and/or nutmeg on the counter for those. Mmmm....

I just reread this and noticed that you misread my tsp measurement as tbs. It was only 1.5 tsp in 8 cups. I haven't tried it again with less cinnamon, as I've been away on business, but I may this week.
