I am what you made me

I have a feeling that several days after I was born, my Dad reached into my skull and squished my malleable baby-brain around until he had it just where he wanted it. "Aha," I hear him saying to my mother. "I have created an engineer!"

Occasionally, I veered from his path, and he poked a finger or two into my brain and made whatever adjustments were necessary. These days, when I think of who I am, the first thing that comes to mind is - an engineer.

It's really all your fault, Dad.

It is so cool to me that you have such a deep connection to your Dad and that you are see so clearly the impact he had on your life. That really is a special thing, and it's excellent that you are keeping that alive. That's an afterlife worth having.
