Back in China

Well, hello there! It's me again, back east. No, way back east. Further...further...yep, that's it. China. Again.

Right now I'm in Suzhou, but I'll be off to Shanghai in a couple of days to spend the remaining glorious 2.5 weeks training and auditing suppliers. Woo hoo! Fun? You betchya! Aunt Polly doesn't let just anyone fly to China to train and audit suppliers, you know! (And, btw, we are hiring, in case anyone wants to take Aunt Polly up on that idea.)

The flight was uneventful (yay!), and I'm still trying to fight through the jet lag (boo!), but all in all it's the same China that it was back in April.

So, you guys should write me email, or reply to my LJ, or IM me or something so I don't forget who I am while I'm over here. :)

Here is a nametag for you so you don't forget who you are:

brilliant engineer
lover of sashimi and Angelo

(I'd add more, but Bri is claiming to be hungry again.)

Look! A post from your husband telling you he loves and misses you!

Oh, and the house is much cleaner than it has been in a long time. But it almost wasn't. Next time she will try not to be 23 minutes early and I will try not to be in the shower when she gets here.

Yay! How did it go? What did she clean? What did it cost? Do we need to buy any additional cleaning materials for her? Will she be back?

Feel free to email me with the answers if you think it doesn't belong here.

Could I possibly beg you to send me a few coins? Wesley has a number of coins from various locales, but nothing from the east. I'd be happy to reimburse. Nothing to go out of your way for, just whatever may end up in your pocket, please.

Oh, dude. You have no idea. I'll have to get a mailing address when I get back (cause if you leave it here I'll forget). But I have plenty of stuff for Wes. :)

I'd say that I miss you, but even if you were in Houston, that would be true. *sob*

While you're digging up coins, perhaps you could help me with a mission? When K was in Hong Kong, he bought this tea at the hotel that he really likes. He can't find it anywhere... not even on the Internet. It was made by the Canton Tea Company (based out of the JW Marriott in Hong Kong) and was a ginseng oolong tea. I know China is a big place and that tea styles probably differ widely from region to region, but if you come across a ginseng oolong tea and could purchase it for me, I will a) pay you back and b) love you forever.

Well, as you said, there are probably a million different ginseng oolong teas here, but I'll certainly look.

Surprising that you can't find it on the net, especially if it's sold in the hotel. Ah, well.
