Last Day in the East
Oct. 30th, 2004 05:49 amToday is our last day in Singapore. We plan to leave the hotel at 4am tomorrow morning, so I am considering not going to sleep at all. We'll see how I feel around 10 or 11 tonight. If I do go to sleep, I'll be waking up at 3am to get packed and leave. Ouch!
From a business perspective, this trip has been a great success. Both companies had a very large attendance for the training that I was here to present, and I think that there will be improvements at all 4 sites that we visited. It looks like I'll be back to monitor their improvements some time early next year.
I've really enjoyed my time in Singapore, and I will have no reservations about coming back (as opposed to my many trips to Taiwan, ugh!). The food is great, the people are very friendly, and the city is beautiful. But now, after more than 2 weeks, I'm looking forward to going home. This hotel is magnificent, and it's a hell of a lot of fun living in the lap of luxury, but it's time to get back to my house, my job, my friends, and best of all, my husband.
25 hours of travel time to go.
