Blurker Gone Bad

I know it seems like I've dropped out of LJ-land, and I admit that I do come here a lot less often, but I have not died, I have not deleted my account, and I am still reading all your updates...only slower.

I will try to increase my activity here this year.  Don't give up on me!

Last night, while working on OwlCon registration stuff (and, hey! go register before the good games are all filled!), I took a minute to peruse the LJers who had listed my high school in their user info.  I do this every so often in case one of my Nova High buddies has decided to create a journal.  Shut up.  You know you do it too!

While running down the list, I noticed a user who had a Big Bunny icon.  Thus intrigued, I read a bit of his data and found that he and his wife are gamers, living in Austin.  Coolness.  I sent him a message pimping mentioning OwlCon, and saying hello, and he was nice enough to write back.  We have since friended each other.

His journal is mostly friends locked, so I was able to read more about him this morning, including taking a glance at his friends.  Six degrees of separation time.  He's listed greeneyedpagan.  Hmm, says I, that userID looks familiar.  As it turns out, greeneyedpagan is a fiend of omorka, who is a friend of mine via follybard and Lager Rhythms.  The mind boggles.

And I have a new friend, khereva.  :)

Can anyone tell me how to create my own mood icons?  I can't seem to find the right place in LJ to do so.
