Dec. 8th, 2008 10:00 am1. How do I go about backing up all the emails I have in gmail? Is there an easy way to download this stuff to a hard drive? Would it still be searchable?
2. How do I put an rss feed onto my LJ friends page? I am trying to do this for oots. (I did it for xkcd a long time ago and I can't recall the process!)

Just go to http://www.owlcon.com/ and click on "Pre-registration"
There are two methods of registration, mail-in and electronic. Electronic registration requires electronic payment via PayPal. Mail-in registrations should be accompanied by a check or money order. Do not send cash.
Aside from getting the lowest admission prices, you are allowed to preregister for up to three events for a weekend pass or one event for a one day pass. Pre-registrations will not be considered valid until payment is received. Sign up for events will be on a first come (form and payment received), first served basis.
Pre-reg will close two weeks before the Con, on January 23rd. So, get with the clicking already!!
PLEASE NOTE: If you use the OwlCon online pre-registration page to register for OwlCon, you should:
(1) immediately be sent to a page that says you have successfully submitted your registration
(2) be sent an email within 72 hours that says we have received your registration data
If you do not experience both of these responses to your registration, please send an email to the Registration Coordinator(s) at registration2009@owlcon.com to make sure you are in the system.
