Neverwinter Nights

Last night, with the invaluable assistance of Angelo, the professional gamer, I finished the final chapter of NWN. What a battle! And what a strange way to win!
I played the game as a Rogue/Ranger, and was 14/2 by the time I fought Morag in the final battle. I took Grimgnaw in with me, since he was pretty kick-ass through the third chapter.
The hard part of this battle is that you can't port back to the temple for healing and revival from this area. It's all or nothing here. Since Grimgnaw hasn't the sense to heal himself often enough, and I had my hands full keeping from dying myself, he inevitably died in the initial battle with the Old Ones. After dying myself in the final battle several times, I checked out a tips sheet, where they just happened to mention that your henchman revives back at the beginning of the tunnel in the area. D'oh! Now I could go back and get Grimgnaw after defeating the rest of the Old Ones and take him to the final battle!
The tips sheet also suggests that you lure the Hands of Morag back down the tunnel to fight them one by one. Excellent plan! It worked like a charm. However, Morag soon got sick of this, and followed me down the tunnel! It was pretty rough running by her to finish off the baddies in the final area, since they all have to die before she can be killed. After a few times running back and forth, Angelo laughingly suggested that I close the door on her so she couldn't get into the final room while I was killing her minions.
Yeah right.
I did it as a lark, and, lo and behold, she didn't follow back into the cave! I guess she really doesn't know how to open the door! Grimgnaw and I, with the help of a summoned wolf and a LOT of scrolls, made quick work of her minions, and then opened the door and killed her in 3 blows. It was amazing. (But I feel so cheap.) ;)
I'm considering starting NWN over playing a priest of Heironeous, just as practice for my character in Ang's new face to face game. It might help me to understand the various uses of cleric spells so that I have less trouble choosing spells each day in that game.
I've also started the first expansion, Shadows of Undrentide, but I made the mistake of taking my NWN character, who is apparently way too high level for this game. I'll likely start that over with a first level character to make it an actual challenge. :)
