As I've mentioned, Angelo has started running the Cauldron Dungeon series using D&D3.5 rules. So far the game, which has only been through 2 play sessions due to summer travel, has been a lot of fun. The characters appear to be learning to fit together, and the adventure is challenging, although not beyond our 1st level abilities.
So, about the figs... *grin*
K and I are playing sisters, Kaya and Meriel, a paladin and priest duo. I found two Reaper figs by Werner Klocke that fit them very well, and I have finally made some progress on them (their faces, at least) this weekend. I used the "Jen Haley method" of painting faces, and it turned out particularly well. The method you see on her website is an older one; I used the version she has in the CMON photo book.
If I get a chance, I'll post a little "work in progress" set of images, but here are the figs:
The Paladin will be for Kaya, and the Justicar will be for Meriel, my priest.
Reaper has an ongoing painting contest, where you can see some painted versions. I really like the Painted Paladin, which has some nice NMM gold, but I'm not all that impressed with the Painted Justicar.
Oh, and I also found a fig for which I have been waiting for close to 10 years. This Scribe will be painted for Gail as her character, Leoneth, from high school. (Yes, I bought 2, just in case.) ;)
