Poor Mimi

On the way to work this morning something large and black came spinning toward me while cruising up 249 at 65mph. My poor baby now has a scrapy dent about 5 inches in diameter on her right front panel.  Ow!!!  I hate fuckin' 249; there's always stuff flying at me.  :(

Hey, it's going around. I sent my van flying at another car the other day. Only bumped the fender, but it was my fault. My insurance will not be happy.

And insult to injury... I was ON THE PHONE! I think that I would have hit her even if I hadn't been. Still, wow. I am no longer answer the phone while driving.

Walking into the grocery store, we were missed last night by an SUV that flew through a stopsign while the driver chatted on the phone.

I know... I hate people who talk and drive and can't believe that I'm now one of them. I've gotten lazier about answering my phone the last few months... and I guess this is what I get.

I do wonder, though, if I would have had the same issues had I been talking to someone in the car. I had an SUV in front of me that was blocking my view, and the person I hit was right in the spot where I couldn't see her or her lights.

But it's no excuse, and I am ashamed...

And I had a near-miss on Tuesday. Bounced tires with a big red pickup. Sadly, his tire was a lot bigger than mine. Maybe our Mazdas should get together to commiserate.
