Final wasp count was 29.

Finished xmas shopping for the kids.  Yay.

Ended up hurting my thumb again.  As this was the third time in a week that ordinary use caused what felt like additional tearing, I am back in the removable cast for at least two weeks, more if I can stand it.  I'm kind of grumpy about this.

Began the Adventure of the Limoncello as a gift for [livejournal.com profile] drangelo's mom..  We're trying to use this guy's recipe, however, we don't have nearly enough time before xmas.  The original recipe we were using only took about a week, while this recipe takes 90 days.  Instead of 151 grain alcohol, we were forced to use 100 proof Stoli.  I think this will reduce the time needed for "smoothing" out the flavor, but we still may not have enough time for the lemon zest to soak into the vodka.  It already looks damned yellow after only 3 days, so maybe it will work out.  I enjoyed doing the 4X filtration of the vodka (even though Stoli is already pretty heavily filtered), and I'm looking forward to the additional filtrations of the zest.  It sort of makes me feel all Alton-like.  :)
While perusing the Hallmark site for an eCard for my brother, I came upon hoops and yoyo, and fell in love.  They totally crack me up.  Maybe I'm just tired.  ;)
From everyone:

Who am I today? )
Holy sh1t!

Making Fiends started on July 14, 2003, as an independent online cartoon made by Winfrey using Macromedia Flash. Winfrey had previously created two other online series, Big Bunny and Muffin Films.

In early 2004, Nick started negotiations with Winfrey to develop the series into a half-hour television program. During the long negotiation and development period, Amy continued to create new web episodes independently, and sell related merchandise in her own online "souvenir shop". In 2006, Nickelodeon began distributing many of the web cartoons as streaming video on their own TurboNick platform, and later as podcasts available on iTunes.

Making Fiends was picked up for a first season of television episodes in late 2006. Production began in January 2007 and the show is expected to start airing in 2008.

If you haven't heard of Amy, you need to watch Muffin Films, Big Bunny, and of course, Making Fiends.

All are fully safe for work.  Except for the time wasting part.  :)
