Lights in the Heights is this Saturday, from 6-10pm, and, once again, Lager Rhythms will be performing.

The route this year includes Woodland, Bayland, and Highland.  We will be at 911 Woodland.  It looks like we'll be across the street from the Houston Saengerbund.  As long as they don't bring along their motorcycles, I think we'll be ok.  ;)

There is a parade scheduled for 6-6:15, so I don't expect to start the first set until about 6:30pm.  We should be doing three sets of about 20-25 minutes each, as usual.  This year, there will be some new music, as well as old favorites, and you'll be able to witness the debut of our newest alto, Shai The Magnificent!

We hope to see you there!
I bring my lunch (and no, I do not take the bus).  Every day I bring a Lean Cuisine or Smart Ones frozen lunch to work.  (Mmmm.  Can you say it with me?)  I usually supplement with steamed broccoli from the cafe in my building.  Broccoli and lemon juice is probably on my plate four times a week.  I also bring a snack like an apple, or a fat free pudding cup, or a WW snack - whatever.

This week the cafe has begun renovations, and will be closed until January.  No broccoli.  (*sad face*)  Monday, I went to the shared kitchen to pull my lunch from the freezer and it was gone.  Apparently, someone didn't know that the cafe would be closed, and decided to go shopping in the fridge  (although, why anyone would choose to steal a Lean Cuisine frozen lunch is beyond my ken).  Monday I was very hungry.

No thievery took place Tuesday or Wednesday.

Today I brought another LC lunch, as well as a fat free pudding cup (Dulce de Leche, 60cal, OMGsoooogooood!).  The lunch went into the freezer, and the snack into the fridge.  When I went in to nuke the lunch, I checked the fridge just in case.  Yep.  No pudding.  Man, I know I'm still working on losing some more weight, but this really isn't helping!

Who steals food?  I mean, what goes through these people's heads when they look into the fridge?    "Mmm, that looks good.  I'm sure no one really wants it."  *rolls eyes*

*grump*

(I'm not the only one to have lost lunches in this fridge.  It's just getting more common now that the cafe is closed.)
