Pushing Past the Plateau

I had mentioned earlier that my body had been flirting with the 65 pound mark, and that it was getting annoying. Well, my complaining apparently made a difference, because I am now officially 67 pounds down! Woo hoo! I believe that means I only have 20 pounds to go before I reach goal. I haven't set an "official" goal yet, but I think 87 is probably a good number for me. It puts me on the high side of normal for my 5'1" height, but I'm pretty muscular, so I don't think it would look bad, and I know it wouldn't be an unhealthy weight. Not that I look too bad now, but I'm just sayin. :)

Date: 2006-03-23 07:43 pm (UTC)I just keep being amazed at how well this is working. :) It's easy, and it makes sense. It's like the light bulb just went on and I understood why I was having such trouble with my weight. Of course, it's something I'll have to deal with for the rest of my life, but at least now I have the tools that I need to keep control.
In addition, I've only been to the doctor once since I started changing my eating habits. I thought I had a cold, but it turned out to be allergies. I guess Mom was right about eating vegetables. ;)

Date: 2006-03-24 04:35 pm (UTC)I set up a few rewards at various loss levels. The first reward I got was a new CD player and speakers for my car. The next was a necklace to match a silver bracelet I have, although I haven't purchased it yet, and I made that goal last June. Another reward was shoes (the ones I've raved about to the Amazons).
I have three rewards left. The one I'm up to now (well, 0.2 pounds from now) is horseback riding and cowboy boots. :) My reward for the next level isn't set yet, but I'm considering getting a professional housecleaning.
My reward at goal is scuba diving and an elective surgery to remove a small cyst from my leg.
The only rule I've had is that the rewards can't be food based, but that's just common sense.
