The Dreading

I've been preparing for the big China trip for the past few days: buying little things that I need for the trip, doing laundry, collecting books from friends, closing out projects at work, etc.  I took down the good suitcases last night and started filling them. 

I've reached that point where I'm dreading being away for the next three weeks.  Every time I see drangelo I hug him, because I know I won't be able to for a long time.  I know once I'm over there I'll be too busy to be very sad and whiny (although around day 19 I'm sure I'll be a little whiny), but for now I am just seeing this great big trip looming in front of me.

Sigh.

I think you need to take pictures of all of us hugging you. And then put them on your laptop. Virtual hugs ain't the same thing, but they're something.

And I just saw SIX deer at Bear Creek Park.

I know exactly what you're talking about! Somewhere in there travel stopped being exciting and exotic, and just became inconvenient.
